Upstate’s International Student Association held a two-day bake sale this week to raise money for the association’s eighth annual International Festival in April.

Student organizers are trying to pick a festival date that doesn’t bump into exams or any other conflicts with students in all four colleges at Upstate, said graduate student Gourav Choudhary.

The International Festival provides an opportunity for members of the Upstate community to showcase their home countries, as well as experience other cultures through musical and dance performances, food exhibits, and poster presentations.

Next month, the association will host a tax-preparation seminar tailored to international students. Information on that event also will be announced soon.
