Justin Bieber’s style provides a positive influence on adolescent health

Who says Justin Bieber isn’t a good influence on the long-term health of today’s youth, especially regarding skin cancer? Research reported in the journal JAMA Pediatrics found that the photoprotective effect of bangs sweeping over the entire forehead-a hairstyle popularized by the pop icon circa 2009-has resulted in fewer freckles and less sun damage in kids who followed Bieber’s style cues. The journal’s viewpoint discussing the research is titled, “The Big Bang Theory.”
