New book shares stories from spiritual care volunteers
Rev. Terry Ruth Culbertson, manager of Upstate’s Center for Spiritual Care, is joined by Walt Wasilewski, an author and Catholic lay volunteer with the center, who has written a book about his experiences. Spiritual care volunteers may be lay or ordained persons who volunteer four or more hours a week to do patient visitation, assist in the office, provide music ministry, or other needed functions. Wasilewski will explain why he wrote his book “Open the Eyes of My Heart, stories of spiritual care“, which is full of amazing stories from the program, and who it was intended for.
