4/22/12 Upstate opens clinical trials for foot drop

Margaret Turk, MDAdults who have had a stroke and are experiencing a condition commonly referred to as foot drop may be eligible to participate in the Upstate Medical University INSTRIDE Stroke study that compares the use of a functional electrical stimulation (FES) device with an ankle-foot orthosis, considered the standard of care for foot drop.  Margaret A. Turk, MD, professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation, is leading Upstate’s participation, and will explain the study and how you can participate.

The INSTRIDE Stroke study is sponsored by Innovative Neurotronics Inc.
