12/18/11 Treatments and outlook for cancer of the liver and bile ducts

Dilip S Kittur, MDDr. Dilip Kittur talks about how liver cancer usually is a secondary cancer, and how it is usually treated…..with surgery and/or a method that blocks the tumor’s blood supply with spheres containing chemotherapy. There is also a radiofrequency ablation treatment that is available, and within the next couple years he hopes to offer a treatment that makes use of radioactive isotopes.
